About the fairy hostel ...

The Fairy Hostel

The Fairy Hostel was established in 2015  as a place where fairies could come and relax whilst looking for new adventures.  All fairies are welcome  and can stay as long as they wish.

The Fairy Hostel is set in the boughs of two oak trees which are entwined with climbing roses and sweet smelling lilac.  The Fairy Hostel stands in a meadow of flowers visited by many butterflies.

All rooms are spacious with a balcony overlooking the beautiful meadow.  In the evenings, the fairies light lanterns and watch the fairy lights twinkle as they gather on their balconies to watch the sunset and breathe in the magic as twilight arrives.  There is always much chatter and laughter as the fairies gather.

The Hostel has a number of facilities available to the resident fairies including a gym, sauna, lounge, bar and a huge restaurant which is situated in the top branches of the Hostel.  Attached to the restaurant is a spacious patio area which is particularly popular with the fairies.  From the patio, on clear days you can see for miles across the beautiful countryside and on cloudy days the fairies like nothing better than sitting in the clouds to socialise or just to rest.  It is a unique and wonderful place to stay, but the fairies are always on the alert for new adventures and may seek you out as an ideal companion.

There are also a number of tiny cottages set in the Daisy Patch.  These are available to any of our fairies who are not so keen on Apartment living and would prefer to be more independent.  A number of little businesses have set up in the Daisy Patch as well, including hairdressers, boutiques, cake shops, wand menders  and a bicycle hire shop.

Pumpkin Hall
Following the success of the the Fairy Hostel we found a number of little witches contacting us.  Of course we said yes and the witches joined the fairies at the hostel.  There was much merriment. However, it soon became evident that the little witches needed a place of their own to accommodate their storage needs - broomsticks, cauldrons, potions and an assortment of pets including cats, toads, owls and even the odd dragon.

After considering a number of options, we decided that the ruins of the old mansion standing between the meadows and the enchanted forest would be an ideal place.  We set about rebuilding and refurbishing the old mansion until Pumpkin Hall was ready for its new inhabitants.  Like the Hostel, it has spacious rooms for all the little witches, large areas of storage in the basement, a library, potions room, individual spell rooms (although since the toad change into a dinosaur spell took place creating a bit of damage in the small spell room, we do recommend that one of the old barns outside is used for large or dangerous spells).

We also completely refurbished the old  ballroom and the little witches have had many merry gatherings, but probably the best loved feature is the flying balcony on the roof of the Hall which is ideal for broomstick flights especially at night as the fire torches are lit.

The old coach house has been transformed into lodgings for the animals, and for those that like to roam the Hall is set in extensive walled grounds with trees and a large pond.

We believe Pumpkin Hall is perfect for any little witch and all are welcome.  As the Hall is not too far from the Hostel, there have been many merry gatherings of fairies and witches and we hope this will continue into the future.

Island of Driftwood Dreams
Having found two lost and stranded mermaids, the Fairy Hostel took the decision to acquire a residence for mermaids seeking new homes and adventures.

Permission was sought from Poseidon and the other ocean rulers and an island was acquired.  The island has many secluded coves, caves and craggy rocks just perfect for our mermaids.  Much of the housing fixtures and fittings are made from the abundance of driftwood found on the island.

We named the island Driftwood Dreams inspired by the driftwood and the need for all mermaids to sit and day dream.

All mermaids are welcome to relax and stay at the Island of Driftwood Dreams until they are ready to seek new companions and new adventures.
